This event story board came from my sister-in-laws baby shower that I planned for her back in April. Not having a sister of my own, I always thought that I would never be able to do these things, however, my sister-in-law is a beautiful young lady, and I admire her – I truly love her like she was my own sister. With that being said, I decided to plan the best possible baby shower that I could. Her and my brother both never wanted to find out the gender of the baby, so I thought what better than a pink and blue baby shower theme?
All of the candy, balloons, cake, desserts, were pink and blue, and so were the favors given out after the shower. With keeping with the pink and blue baby shower theme, I decided to incorporate the mustache and bow theme. There was a banner on top of the candy table that was pink bows and blue mustaches, that was ordered from Etsy. Also, there were card-stock mustache and bows ordered as well, which were used as cupcake toppers. This candy table carried the color theme throughout, from the straws, to the candy bags, to the beautiful cake ordered from Novello’s in Markham, Ontario. The drinks served at this party had pink lemonade (non-alcoholic) and blue Hawaiian (alcoholic). There was also a balloon backdrop (not seen in this picture), that carried across a wall, where the beautiful mom-to-be opened her baby shower gifts (will be shown in the photo click-through by clicking on the story board picture).
I had a really hard time trying to find a beautiful, yet modern gender-neutral theme, but I hope this brings inspirations to all of you trying to think of a gender-neutral theme. This theme can also be used for a gender reveal party, but inside the cake, or cupcakes, have either pink or blue filled icing to announce the gender of your beautiful baby on the way.
